Check Out Silent Sports Magazine

I recently discovered Silent Sports magazine after I was asked to write an article on volunteering at the Superior Trail Races last Fall and training for the 50 mile race this year. This is a cool Midwest-based magazine about non-motorized outdoor activities, definitely worth a look. It’s available at REI (at least the Minnesota stores).
My article is in the July issue, which is now available, and is also online.

Great writing… Thanks for sharing. I was hoping to volunteer this year as I am having surgery soon and will not run for a few months… But my girlfriend has a event I can not get out of so I will miss the Superior this year… Good luck!

Hello Scott. I went to the library the other day and picked up a Silent Sports and saw the article you wrote.What a suprise It was great to see an article about the race. It always surprises me that many locals have know idea about these races.

Dale – how funny! I probably should have emailed that you were a character in my story, but forgot. Yeah these races are probably hidden up in the woods for many folks up there. See you this Fall!
